Tutoring ProgramThe Tutoring Program will include weekly classes and a limited workload, allowing students to sharpen their skills and learn how to produce quality analyses without being overburdened during the academic year.
The most motivated participants will be invited to submit an outline for a potential analysis. Access to the second tier of the Tutoring Program is selective and will depend on the quality of the submitted outline, motivation, and engagement throughout the program. Selected participants will receive one-to-one tutoring to further develop their skills and analyses.

Program Details: The program is divided into two parts. The first six lectures will focus on how to build a geopolitical analysis with introduction to key concepts of what makes any writing a 'geopolitical analysis', and how to engage with the basic concepts in IR such as norms, laws, rules, power, interests, etc. Students will also be taught how to collect and engage with information, and how to use it for their benefit. They will, through examples, be taught "how to begin", i.e., how to conceive an idea, how to develop an outline, and how to write and edit an analysis. They will also be made aware of the common mistakes made during the process.
During these lectures, students will be asked to do short exercises to gauge how well have they grasped the concepts. They will also be provided with reading material as required.
In November, there will be a special roundtable discussion with
Stefano Feltri and Professor Graziano discussing current events for students of the program.
The second phase will consist of 'Introduction to Regions' where a brief overview will be provided to help students know where to begin should they want to write or understand more about the United States, Russia, and India along with a dedicated reading list should students want to explore these topics further. This will also include
guest lectures by Prof. Manlio Graziano. There will be a concluding workshop where a Spykman Article will be discussed in-depth: the research, writing and editing process, and the argument as a final demonstration for students wishing to pursue analysis beyond the tutoring program.
A detailed outline, exercises, reading material and lists will be provided to all registered participants. Twice during the program a mutually decided 'office hour' will be set up where the tutor will be available to answer any specific questions or queries regarding the course content outside the designated lecture schedule. All lectures will be recorded and the recordings will be shared via a Google Drive link.
